VOLUME 1 By Ceramica Bardelli
Collection: Volume
Designer: storagemilano
Type: Ceramic 3D Wall Tile
Little fragments of an architectural discourse, made up of evocative signs setting the pace. If the wall is a blank page, Volume, the new collection of three-dimensional listels by Storagemilano for Ceramica Bardelli, turns out to be a décor, and therefore content, meaning and then interpretation. The name of the collection is evocative and arises from a paradox: the word, usually associated with a solid, is here intentionally linked to an element which in the common imaginary is flat and without depth, just like a tile. Volume is characterized by a sort of three-dimensionality able to give movement and character to walls through different bulks and volumes, while also creating interesting plays of lights and shadows. A ductile and simple product, a sort of “mural object” that can transform, both by itself and in combination with other pieces, any sort of plain and empty surface in one with a strong scenic and architectural character. Volume is a modern “moulding” which can be easily matched with the solid colours of the Cromia collection in order to liven the composition up. Or an architectural tool at any interior designer’s disposal to create boiserie frames or backstage modules, set up following a mathematical logic or randomly, so to become a three-dimensional episode aiming to break the monotony of the wall. The collection does perfectly fit in both contract and domestic interior settings and is available in six nuances, ranging from white to dove-grey, from grey to blue. These make the collection a truly versatile and ornamental tool, suitable for both classic and modern environments. Moreover, the extra-glossy finish creates stunning scenic effects which are then amplified by the vibrations of the light. The walls get their own weight and gravity back and, through the chiaroscuro effects generated by the matter between the folds and volumes of the surfaces, they become solid, “volumetric”. After all, what are vibrations, if not very small connections? Those connections making some mouldings or shapes that have been made by architects of the ancient Greece, of the Italian Renaissance and, perhaps, even of the French Gothic and Romanesque, splendid. They are those graphic elements, horizontal or vertical, which generate, through their connection, compositions speaking a language that everyone can understand. The one made of signs. Pack of 12 pieces 10x40. Randomly assorted decorations with possible repetitions in the package.
