VILNA By Ligne Roset

Designer: Pagnon & Pelhaître design

Manufacture year: 2015

Type: Rectangular porcelain stoneware dining table

Vilna is a rectangular table with a porcelain stoneware top.‎ A table of extremely pared-down lines comprising a top which is linked to the base by a large section frame with a plate to which the legs are attached.‎ The top, which overhangs by around 12 cm, renders the structure barely visible.‎ The designers present Vilna as an innovative table, a design object, with its overhanging top and sharp-looking metal base.‎ WOODEN TOPS : in 40 mm thick matt varnished solid European walnut or natural solid oak with streamlined edges.‎ CERAMIC STONEWARE TOPS : in 6 mm thick full body ceramic stoneware (metallic anthracite, white marble-effect or white) glued onto a 12 mm thick black or white lacquered MDF set back slightly from the edge of the top & screwed to a 12 cm steel support set back 12 cm from the edge of the top.‎ The rectangular tables L 200 / 220 / 240 are only available with fixed tops.‎ The rectangular table L 180 is available with a fixed or extending top (with 1 x integral 59 cm extension).‎ " In the wooden versions (natural oak and walnut) the extension (W 59 cm) is matched to the top.‎ The top and extension are in 25 mm thick solid wood ; the blocks from which they are comprised are arranged transversally to ensure continuity between the appearance of the top and that of the extension, and to ensure that the top of the extension and the tops of the two half tops sit flush with each other when the extension is in place.‎
