Designer: Marco Carini

Type: Oak parquet

Turin - Eclectic and brimming with history; current and fresh.‎ A vertical line crosses lighter, horizontal lines, just like in a comb, becoming a fabric, regularly repeating itself, enveloping the room.‎ The ambience, inspired by the refined interiors of Carlo Mollino, welcomes it, like a warm, sovereign embrace.‎ Custom+ defines a new shared lexicon of design, starting from the spontaneous and fun language of drawing, to geometric composition and experimentation, for a new encyclopaedia of living.‎Once more parquet engages the vertical element in dialogue, creating a harmonious “ecosystem”, an enveloping atmosphere within which every single element is designed to feel part of the whole, closely interconnected.‎ Custom+ is not a simple product-collection, rather it is a “creative foothold”, a “grid of inspiration” and design instrument for modulating your own contemporary living space with an original twist of inspiration.‎ The architect Marco Carini was tasked with writing the first notes of this living staff, through a series of 11 “rooms” featuring elegant atmospheres, with the aim of enhancing and requalifying the work of mankind through the entire generative process.‎ Using a musical metaphor, the architect Marco Carini has tuned this project to the harmonic frequency of nature at 432 Hz, a sound connected to the heart and joy.‎ A highly pleasing result for our senses, a soft and luminous effect that successfully reflects the elements “rooms” are made up of, inventing them starting from the lowest possible number of items, culminating in compositions that orbit around the prospective dimension of the flooring.‎ An open vision that places the person at the centre cannot but take nature itself and the material the Universe is made of into consideration, as it contains us too.‎ What can be composed with the seven notes arranged on the staff? Jazz or classical music can be played.‎ The “settings” suggested by the architect and his Firm are arranged within this compositional freedom, sartorial settings that make room for interlocutors and interpreters of different countries, cultures and design sensitivities.‎ Aware applications of the use of a precious raw material that should never be wasted, hence the penchant for sizes which enable the optimisation of industrial processes in all steps of its creation.‎
