Sixty celebrates Emilceramica’s 60th birthday and clay, the most fundamental raw material, on which the company’s history is based. The Sixty clay project interprets the intrinsic ductility of bare earth, moulded by the continual action of the natural elements, and creates a ceramic surface made of pure matter with an amplified tactile dimension, with no decorative superstructures or mimetic intents. The collection clads interiors in two versions. The “fondo” (plain) version, with natural patterning and soft surfaces silky to the touch, although with excellent anti-slip properties thanks to the SilkTech technology. The timbro version, where a form is impressed in the bare earth to reveal an unusual effect of texture and volume, the source of original, creative decorative combinations. COLOURS: ANTRACITE – CENERE – TALCO – FANGO – SABBIA – SALVIA – CIELO As well as the surfaces, which raise tactile pleasure to new heights, colour and shapes are also central to Sixty. The research of our R&D department and in-depth study of ceramic material have created a colour range inspired by the natural hues of the earth. Each of the shades is presented in both the “fondo” (plain) and the tactile “timbro” (stamped) versions, enabling infinite contemporary colour and surface combinations. The celebration of Emilceramica’s history is continued by the colour theme, which associates a dominant shade to each decade of the last 60 years. A creative idea for reminding us of the moods of our past and our present. DESIGN To complete the Sixty bare earth project, the collection offers the Esagona (21x18,2 cm), in both “fondo” (plain) and timbro versions, and minibricks (5x15 cm), in matt, stamped and lux versions, which reveal amazing decorative potentials. Available in the 7 shades in the collection’s colour assortment, they also include an additional chromatic option, Nero Assoluto, for unlimited decorative and architectural freedom. Matter, colour and forms combine in this authentic, pure collection, with a powerful, ancestral expressive strength, typical of the bare earth from which it draws its inspiration. It is an ideal solution, delivering excellent technical performances with a contemporary aesthetic. SILKTECH TECHNOLOGY The Sixty collection features the SilkTech technology, which combines excellent anti-slip performances with a ceramic surface that’s silky to the touch. This innovative technology, created in the Emilgroup laboratories, increases the friction coefficient of porcelain stoneware, while retaining an incredibly soft-feeling surface. The result is a product that guarantees superior technical performance in terms of safety, tactile appeal, ease of cleaning and durability over time.
