Solid wood meets ceramic and gives life to an unusual pairing that is inspired by the Caribbean gingerbread art and architecture.‎ The SILHOUETTE bookshelf stands out for its supporting system: the shelves are in fact held by aluminum supports, coated by Bassano ceramic vases.‎ Crafted by expert potters, the vases have a double function: they hold the shelves and represent a decoration element that is able to mix with the objects inserted in the bookshelf.‎ The texture of the wooden structure and the raw and non-smoothed effect of the saw cut edges, contrast the refined finish of the ceramics, creating a mix between tradition and innovation.‎
