Across history the knot has had many different meanings, including sacred and religious symbolism. In Egypt it represented life: the knot of Isis stood for immortality and divine love. The endless knot is one of the most ancient figures utilized in Buddhist symbolism in China and Tibet, but also in geographically distant zones, to convey a sense of infinite devotion. Tying and knotting mean joining, connecting two objects, bringing them together in harmonious progress. Since ancient times the knot has had a clear meaning of junction and commitment between two people. This meaning is immediately associated with love, precisely to emphasize the inseparable nature of a bond. This symbol conveys meanings of eternity and faithfulness. A knot made properly will not come undone, opening and separating the two objects it holds fast. Therefore a love knot unites two people forever. It is not a noose, not a tight restraint, but an intertwined connection, representing a sense of give and take, of help in moments of need. It is a soft knot that links without duress. Extended horizontally, it reminds us of the symbol of infinity. NEW: Shibari Green DESIGN FEATURES Design for disassembly: to dispose of the product simply separate the polyurethane from the metal structure: cut the tubular cylinder lengthwise and "undress the structure" leaving the metal bare. The polyurethane seat is easily removable. The elastic straps and wooden parts have been eliminated to reduce the number of components, increasing recyclability and facilitating the disposal. Product durability: virtually infinite, powder coated frame for long life, CATAS certified for mechanical stress contract level 1 (public spaces with continuous use). Components: Frame: tubular iron (recyclable and recycled by definition). Feet in POC (Delrin) with excellent sustainability characteristics. Fabric: Paddington. Polyurethane foam RisOrsa series by Orsa, which contain around 20% Bio Based Carbon (Vegetable Polyols): the P HR rato product was selected for correct comfort. The product is also certified OEKO-TEX standard 100 class 1 for the responsible use of chemical products and Certipur. In the Shibari Green the elastic straps have been replaced by a metal mesh, so as to eliminate the plastic parts and replace them with iron parts. The two wooden discs, where the straps were stapled, have been eliminated to increase the padding and compensate for the greater rigidity of the mesh and also facilitate the disassembly of the product at the end of its life.
