Offices, banks, data processing centres need constant enhancement and updating of technological equipment: from electrical circuits, telephone and computer networks to heating and air-conditioning systems. To facilitate such instances, Caesar recommends using raised floors, consisting of panels that can be easily removed, because they are elevated from the footing of the floor. The technical gap created between the floor and the substrate can have different heights, from a few centimetres to a meter.
