Just as the Baroque style had wonder as its aim, the new Queen collection was born with the desire to amaze. The grandeur and splendour of 17th century France are evoked by simple but important motifs, which immediately attract the eye thanks to the fine workmanship and finishes. Imposing and elegant, Queen is therefore the greatest homage to the Baroque style ever made by Linea Calì. But what does the term 'Baroque' come from? When, in the 18th century, historians had to define the artistic style that had dominated the previous century, the Baroque style being characterised by curved and irregular rather than simple and straight lines, they chose the name of a slightly irregular pearl that in Portuguese was called - precisely - barocco (what in Italy is identified as a river pearl, n. d.).editor's note).
