Orbital is a low round table in lacquered wood with wood veneered storage compartment, equipped with a marble tray, suspended on a rotating metal support inside the storage compartment. Carved marble tray with round edge in relief. Metal parts available in the metal finishing selection. Orbital stands at the crossroads between Bauhaus and Constructivism, between Futurism and Kineticism; from the aesthetic foundations of these fabled avant-gardes the articulated, absolute forms of the circle and the cylinder come to life. Through a rotational movement, like that of a satellite, the disc completes its revolution, allowing alteration of the table’s geometric balance to accommodate a variety of tastes and functions. Fullness, emptiness, motion: these are the sides and hypotenuse of a conceptual triangulation at the heart of a sculptural object with a strong artistic sensibility, which theatrically enters the home furnishing scene.
