Collection: Armatex Total Eta
Type: Reinforcing fibres
Reinforcing fibres. The Total Eta System is suitable for the consolidation and structural upgrading of masonry elements made up of solid brick, tuff and natural stone supports. This system is intended both as a safety element, reinforcing in bending, shear, axial stress and press-flexion, and as an improvement of the mechanical performance of resistance and stiffness, in cases of static, seismic and dynamic loads. A further purpose of the system is to increase the strength of damaged or undersized structural elements and to increase their ductility against seismic actions. This is a reinforcement and/or structural improvement kit that can be applied in low thickness (FRCM) or in high thickness (CRM). Named FRCS (Fibre Reinforced Composite System), the Biemme kit is a structural consolidation system for architectural elements composed of an AR (alkali-resistant), biaxial (0°- 90°) and balanced glass fibre mesh, a mortar whose function is mainly adhesion and/or load-bearing capacity, and pre load-bearing capacity, and pre-resin "open-end" AR (alkali-resistant) glass fibre connectors, which, depending on the type of intervention, can be applied either through or on one side of the masonry in order to increase the shear resistance and confinement effectiveness of the supporting structural element. The alkali-resistant glass biaxial structural mesh with more than 16 % zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) is coated with an alkali-resistant, thermosetting-type protective primer. This fine-technological primer, however, makes the mesh mouldable, adaptable to the shapes of the various surfaces where the system is applied and without shape memory. The net is also characterised by a rough surface obtained through the application of filler whose purpose is to increase its adhesion performance to the inorganic matrix. The mesh is applied to the substrate by means of CE-marked NHL M15 lime-based structural mortar (in accordance with UNI EN 459-1 and UNI EN 998-2 standards in system 2+). The FRCS system can be applied to internal and external surfaces of masonry walls with thicknesses varying between 5 and 40 mm. The transversal connector of the AR glass fibre pre-resin flake type is applied to the masonry by grouting with the aid and use of lime-based injection mortar. The system can also be applied in several layers. Advantages of the Total ETA System: - Low and high thickness interventions (from 5 to 40 mm) - Guaranteed and certified system - Indoor/outdoor application - Earthquake bonus - Reduced laying times - Complete kit supply - Applicable up to three layers
