Miami Soft is a modular leather sofa designed by Paola Navone.‎ Frame: frame in chilean multilayered, fir and plywood.‎ Filling: differentiated density polyurethane foam filling with acrylic fibre covers.‎ Springing: springing with woven elastic straps of covered rubber.‎ Cushions: seat cushions in polyurethane foam filling (AirSoff) with acrylic fibre covers.‎ Back cushions with movable rolls in polyurethane foam filling, covered with washed and sterilized goose down and acrylic fibre.‎ Feet: feet in semi-gloss black-stained beech.‎ Decoration: decorative quilting in the same shade of leather.‎ Upholstery: leather upholstery with sharp edge stitching.‎ Informal is a character of contemporaneity.‎ This concept has developed, bringing an elegant detachment from the label to every sphere of everyday life.‎ At Baxter, the collections that best express this sentiment include Miami.‎ Versatile, modular and defined by materials worked in line with Italian tradition updated through research and innovation, it evolves  into the Soft sofa line.‎ “A touch of extra comfort that once again recounts Baxter’s  master touch when it comes to making extremely soft leather,” is the enthusiastic explanation from Paola Navone, who, returning to the existing, renews it with that sophisticated sensuality that she knows how to infuse into her designs.‎ Miami Soft, in the delicacy given by the velvety hand of the upholstery, finished with raw thread stitching, and the ductile flexibility of the elements with which it can be completed - the cushions in several sizes and the bolster pillows, one independent and the others on the backrest - recalls that idea of interior management photographed in the design magazines of the 1950s and 1960s.‎ In that system of style codes in which architecture gradually left the Modernist current to adopt new solutions, at the centre of the home is the person who lives in it, and it is essential that the objects reflect their personality.‎ Hence the importance, which increased in the decades that followed, of the living room: the area where we receive visitors and which, if necessary, becomes the focal point of a party, but also that room which, devoted to private relaxation, is the beating heart of a home.‎
