MA is the line of bath furnishings designed by Foster+ Partners.‎ MA takes its name from the concept – central to Japanese art and culture - of “space between,” which emphasises achieving a harmonious balance between elements and the space between them in any artistic composition.‎ The pure volumetric geometry of various primary elements – bathtubs, washbasins, taps, mirrors – interconnected by slim, delicate yet functional water spouts.‎ Distilling the essence of a bathroom, the MA by Foster + Partners system creates a flexible architectural framework to which different elements can be added and reconfigured to suit a myriad of living spaces.‎ MA explores texture and form through the unique palette of Falper materials.‎ Water is carried through an adaptable system of stainless-steel spouts, virtual works of art that lend character to the bathroom and serve multiple functions, supporting an illuminated mirror, or as hooks for robes and towels.‎ The solid wood drawers evoke practical tool boxes, with the interior space organized in a personalisable configuration.‎ The forms of washbasins in marble or Cristalplant® Bio Active express sophisticated, minimalist elegance.‎ MA is a unique collection that combines handcraftsmanship and fine woodworking details with an innovative spirit of high design.‎ Foster + Partners Industrial Design is a global studio grounded in sustainability, with a worldwide reputation for thoughtful, pioneering design.‎ The studio has never made any distinction between architecture and industrial design.‎ Its industrial design team, founded in 1980, has developed a vast array of products, from door handles to wind turbines.‎ The point of contact, the tangible part, is just as important as the broader vision.‎
