Cutting-edge production technology making it possible to provide tangible solutions to the new needs of contemporary design has been integrated into some of Casalgrande Padana’s collections with a selection of large-format, ultra-thin porcelain stoneware tiles. The name of the new product line is Kontinua, a moniker devised to underline the evolving nature of an ongoing process, a journey founded on universally recognised excellence in technology, enterprise and innovation. To coincide with Cersaie 2017, Casalgrande Padana is presenting a preview of Kontinua by integrating it into some of its existing collections. It will mark the start of a process set to be completed within a year and destined to further enrich the already extensive Casalgrande Padana offering. The launch of the new tiles, available in the 120x260 cm, 120x240 cm, 120x120 cm, 60x120 cm and 60x60 cm formats, will feature a selection of products from the Marmoker and Pietre di Paragone collections. The lightweight, unbroken surfaces provided by large-format tiles redefine design boundaries, allowing us to create ambitious residential and commercial spaces without compromising on the performance and aesthetics of Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware. The 6.5 mm thickness takes the concept of ceramic cladding to the next level, one where the beautiful textures and marble- or stone-effect finishes are able to extend without interruption within truly cu tting-edge architectural projects. The large format ensures visual uniformity throughout the various rooms of the home and is fully compatible with traditional thicknesses, allowing highly expressive aesthetic and functional coordination. The modular nature of the formats multiplies the creative combinations available to the designer across integrated solutions for flooring and cla dding, technical applications, ventilated facades and made-to-measure furnishings. Projects can range from large, public spaces and commercial areas to residential spaces. The lightness of the material allows for maximum versatility: the tiles, whose dimensions have been devised to reduce cutting and waste to the minimum, can easily be cut and drilled to meet special requirements. They can also be personalised by drawing inspiration from the world of accessory furniture and interior design.
