Unencumbered by superfluous elements, the furnishing accessories of the Joni collection reinterpret the interior eclecticism of the glamour decade. Of all today's trends, the most popular is the one that celebrates the Seventies look. Like a spiritual inheritance, the glamour of the disco music decade also rests on the world of design which, on the trail of such a culturally stratified era, indulges in a new interpretation of its original eclecticism. Spatial explorations, the focus towards the sky combined with the definition of the holiday and the trip, bring to life creative ideas for interiors and rewrite the approach to living: here, freeing the environments from staid superstructures is the rule. This means open spaces, fluid lines, rounded corners; creating them requires a makeover so that the experiences dating back to the early twentieth century can be revived filtered through those details still visible in our homes. Joni picks them up and clothes them with new relevance. The collection designed by Christophe Delcourt for Baxter is a perfect synthesis of nostalgia and futurism. The writing table, an element that more than any other informs us how a room will be used, abandons its managerial rigour: the chest of drawers slotted under the large work table is covered by one of the support bases, which follows its profile half-way along, creating a harmony of solids and voids. For the bookcase, freestanding or wall-mounted, the concept of verticality meets the idea of the curve. Modular, it plays with the dualism between symmetry and asymmetry and offers a relaxing, undulating movement that is easy on the eye. The low cabinet has an elegant profile and its generous volume, punctuated by a concept of doors with a three-dimensional effect, reframes the perspective of the room. The mix of polished oak and leather reflects the idea of a contemporary classicism that transcends time. And we have the pleasure of choosing the combinations from the many nuances available.
