Two remarkable ideas. The frame is simplicity and modularity oriented; there is no bombast in the form. Stress should also be laid on its thickness – that is, 7 mm –, almost a metaphor for its character. Something to suggest durability, stability, pregnancy. Hence it is no surprise that Johns has proved so successful, that it has opened up to a diversity of design performances and finishes in time. Long live elegance.
