I CHING By Tubes Radiatori
Collection: Elements
Designer: Elisa Ossino
Manufacture year: 2021
Type: Electric stainless steel towel warmer
Designed for Tubes by Elisa Ossino, the new I Ching product is a heated towel rail module whose starting point was radical form simplification. Maximum volume and thickness reduction based on highly complex technical research: I Ching has turned heating rails into an artwork, a distinctive wall design element which stands out in any space, making you forget about its intended functional role. Single or multiple, parallel or in sequence, I Ching fits onto walls via asymmetrical attachments offering you the chance to create a range of form compositions. I Ching has been devised for installations in multiples which redesign spaces with unforeseeable compositional solutions featuring great dynamism exalted by the stylish implementation of metallic finishes. There are many options to choose from: for a more industrial, more sophisticated or more decorative look, thanks to contrasting or matching colour combinations with rooms and walls. There are also four available sizes: lengths of 53, 63, 78 and 135 and widths of 4 cm and a very thin section. I Ching is made of 304L stainless steel and it is available in an electric version (24 volts) and can be accessorised with an on/off switch for manual use and a digital wireless thermostat (in accordance with ECOdesign standards) with which the product's temperature can be regulated and a weekly programme activated. The Elements collection is the expression of a desire to eliminate stereotypes and pre-established industrial design processes. In a society that is free from conditioning, objects - whatever kind they may be - can “release themselves” too; that is to say, they can eliminate technical aesthetics and undergo design modifications. So freeing a radiator from its valves and position these at a distance of as much as six metres, thanks to a patented built-in unit, is equivalent to freeing it from its typical technical appearance. This brings about new possibilities of interpretation of form according to aesthetic-intellectual rules that differ from previous ones. For this reason, along with the Basics and Extras collections, the company introduced the Elements collection, created by architects and designers of international renown. Elements becomes a “container of ideas” where the designers are called upon to create radiators that are more closely linked with the aesthetics of the home, where the sensual warmth of heating products is integrated into the architectural space with the same dignity and importance in project terms as other contemporary interior decoration elements.
