The GIPSY cupboard rediscovers the suggestive power of wood, reshaping tradition through the search for unusual pairings of shapes and finishes: the shapes of the ancient ice-houses can be recognized, which are revisited in a modern way. The essential but strong design lines are inspired by the creative Caribbean architecture. Provided with two compartments with full-length drawers, the cupboard is made of solid wood with surface finishes that let its nature shine through. The steel details, finished with the classic streak of weathered silver, awaken the textured veins of wood exposed by sandblasting and by the saw cut. The particular wooden latch and the hinges, created on purpose by expert craftsmen of the branch, recall to the memory a past time that conveys a timeless power to the object. GIPSY can be equipped with internal LED lighting.
