Each Sambonet silver product has its origins in stainless steel AISI 304 or alpacca silver, made 66% of copper, 13% of nickel and 21% of zinc and enriched with 999.5% pure silver. Father of the design made in Italy, Gio Ponti is the greatest exponent of Italian rationalism. Sambonet deliveries his perfect-shape projects with Gio Ponti Collection. "The perfect shape of cutlery", this is how Gio Ponti described his project in 1951. The rationalism that has been a fil-rouge in every concept by Gio Ponti is also present in the development of Sambonet Conca collection. Through careful anthropological study, the Milanese architect had in fact developed an exact design for each piece, according to his theory where functionality and human habits determine the shape of everyday objects.
