Gio Ponti, 18/10 stainless steel cutlery set by Sambonet. Available with single piece or orfèvre handle, and in a series of variants: - polished stainless steel. - Antique: is characterized by the pleasant to touch texture and the original matt appearance of the stainless steel. This finish is the result of a high pressure ceramics sandblasting treatment, by means of micro ceramic particles, which defines the final effect of the surfaces. - Vintage: it uses a special craftsman finishing technique on the surface of the stainless steel flatware. Through a series of industrial scraping processes, surfaces assume an original and intentionally “worn out” effect, introducing a new and fascinating ambiance at the table and a new trend for contemporary interior design. - PVD: gives the objects exceptional colours and shades. It consists of the deposition of metallic particles through vaporization in a vacuum chamber. The coating is welded on an atomic level to the stainless steel, giving the material greater hardness and resistance to rubbing and corrosion, thereby preventing the formation of rust or oxides. - Vintage PVD e Antique PVD: special texture and colour can be combined together, in this case, the processes take place in consecutive phases, from the different abrasive techniques to the colouring ones. Combining these two treatments, flatware assumes original effects.
