A contemporary classic. Forme is the new Emilceramica collection dedicated to terracotta. A material which draws on the most authentic Italian craft tradition. Emilceramica’s interpretation is inspired by the four natural elements – earth, water, fire and air – which together shape one of the most ancient man-made materials, fundamental for human history: terracotta. Forme reaches into the distant past to delight the most contemporary taste. Terracotta’s warmth and its welcoming aura are combined with refined design and outstanding performance. Its development has been a real creative journey, rich in new ideas to draw on, starting from the colours. The voyage of discovery starts with a natural, primordial assortment of six shades inspired by clay, with irregular variations in tone: Terracotta, Rosato, Avorio, Bianco Assoluto, Cenere and Antracite. Alongside these are the decorative flair of the Brick Lux tiles which, in Ocra, Bianco and Azure, offer unexpected mix and match options; a slightly three-dimensional, strikingly glossy surface reinterprets the Italian majolica tradition. The lavish set of sizes – from standard dimensions to the 7.5x20 cm brick and 21x18.2 cm hexagon tiles, up to the 20x20 cm and 80x80 cm sizes – provides the collection with great creative and compositional potential, one of its core features. Perfect for infusing a modern rustic mood into any architectural design, Forma embodies the authenticity of the hand-made piece but responds to the demands of modern living; it is a collection with an emotional message, telling the story of man and his materials.
