Lorenzo Damiani has designed the Fold Mixers matching the collection of Fold accessories already in production. The crushed profile of the mechanically bent chrome pipes is the note that under lines the whole collection. What is usually defined as a defect, in these products, becomes the characterising element. Fold is a collection of chrome-plated tubular bathroom accessories produced by mechanical bending. With the Fold collection we wanted to emphasise the poetics of the gesture, visualising in the object the effort made to bend the tubular metal. The resulting flattened profile, usually considered a defect, is taken as an aesthetically characterising element of the object. The collection consists of shelves, towel rails, hangers and toilet brush holders.
