FAUNA design by Sara Ricciardi in collaboration with Venini “The project was suggested to me by the view of the various techniques of applying color in blown glass. The jet of grits, whose distribution is not perfectly governed, reminded me of the mottled skins of animals. This is how a bizarre glass fauna is composed: a spotted horse, a flecked manta and a speckled beetle, all with bright colors, those that nature is never afraid to wear”.
