Ca’ Foscari is a sofa with non-removable upholstery in leather or fabric; structure in plywood and solid wood with elastic webbing stretch bands, padding in multi-density polyurethane foam, Memory Foam® and feathers. The Ca‘ Foscari sofa has a soft shape distinguished by concave and convex perimeter signs that make it a modern and appealing sofa. The metal base extends vertically thanks to a segment that completes the armrest. The particular feature of the sofa is the curvature of the foot at the base. The mirror surface of the curved steel reflects the surrounding space for an optical effect. The sofa can be combined with an armchair having the same characteristics. News 2022 The brand’s commitment to a more sustainable production development translates into the research for padding made with alternative and less harmful processes for our planet. The new foams are obtained through the use of a new special polyol, which is synthesized using carbon dioxide. It is in fact an innovative raw material for the production of high quality flexible polyurethane foams. Thanks to it, carbon dioxide is brought back into the production chain, thus allowing to reduce the use of fossil raw materials such as oil, while respecting and protecting the environment. These new foams are characterized by excellent breathability and low permanent deformation, two essential elements in the creation of a new seat. They also have physical-mechanical characteristics equivalent to conventional foams. Visionnaire has introduced these new padding in one of its iconic seats, the Ca ‘Foscari sofa, by Alessandro La Spada. The new padding has also been combined with a memory foam with the use of high percentages of polyols of plant origin, which replace part of the raw materials of fossil origin. Ca’ Foscari is an upholstered piece characterized by soft and enveloping lines with a metal base that extends vertically to complete the armrest. The peculiarity of the sofa lies precisely in the curvature of the steel, whose mirror surface reflects the surrounding environment. For its upholstery, a fabric with highly performing characteristics was selected and belonging to the Re-Generation sample book, a research project of the brand in which only those materials that respect low environmental impact characteristics are inserted and selected.
