Formally, Marcel Breuer translated his design for B 9 to the long, elegant side table B 10.‎ Cold-bent tubular steel enabled such a construction and provided the required stability.‎ This principle was then translated to the chair design, resulting in the chair without back legs, the cantilever chair.‎ Tubular steel furniture is considered a milestone in history.‎ From the beginning, Thonet was the partner for the designers and a manufacturer with a global distribution network.‎
