ARMADILLO By Busnelli
Collection: Icons
Designer: Gianni Pareschi
Manufacture year: 1969
Type: Velvet armchair with armrests
One of the most iconic pieces in the Busnelli catalogue, the Armadillo armchair, designed in 1969 by Gianni Pareschi, takes on a new look. The soul of this icon is the curved tubular metal frame, covered by soft handcrafted cushions that design the line of the seat. An iconic armchair designed by Gianni Pareschi in 1969, re-edited in a more contemporary, sustainable, ecodesign key. The chromatic nuances due to the folding of the fabric evoke the natural characteristics of the armadillo, from which it takes its name. Armadillo's craftsmanship is also visible in the stitching, cross-stitched with tone-on-tone or contrasting threads that create an elegant geometric pattern. It is available in one colour with stitching to match the Touch, Feel leather and velvet in all their colour variations. In the case of the two-tone version, the supporting fabric is made of Velvet 300 or leather Touch 2374 or leather Feel 7209 with contrast stitching that will follow the finish of the cushions. The remaining seat upholstery must be completed with the same type of fabric/leather. The Kaleidoscope version is made with Velvet 135 support fabric and cushions in 30 different colours of the same fabric.
