WET SYSTEM, the system patented by Wall&decò for covering walls in shower rooms and humid interiors, is now in its sixth edition. The 2018 collection investigates new shapes, textures and colours, for different interpretations of the bathroom area. Whenever the bathroom is experienced as an oasis of tranquillity and relaxation, a silent location, far-removed from the stress of the outside world, wallpaper manifests itself in a visual comfort zone, reclaiming contact with natural elements, where colours allude to hues of the earth, sky and night, and the shapes are organic and curved. A desire for a more ethereal and luminous interior calls for texture-rich graphics on the grey scale, from which flashes emerge, in the tones of yellow, orange or blue, breaking down the homogeneous field of vision, without ever pervading it. Lastly, the bathroom area as a vibrant interior features graphics which evoke a child-like innocence, with roundness and curves as base designs. The colour range also alludes to the playfulness of children, including all the primary colours and some secondary ones too. An ample palette, where in spite of their richness, colours are masterfully balanced, giving the impression that they cancel each other out, with an end result of extreme lightness.
