ANDERSEN / ANDERSEN QUILT By Minotti
Collection: Andersen System
Designer: Rodolfo Dordoni
Manufacture year: 2010
Type: Sofa
TECHNICAL INFORMATION Structure: in one-piece hollow-core wood. Structure preparation: in high-density, differentiated-density polyurethane foam. Cushioning: seat cushion padding in thick, channelled goose down to give the cushion great softness. Highly resilient polyurethane foam insert, covered at the top with "heat-sensitive" polyurethane material. Back cushions fully upholstered in channelled goose down. Armrests: upholstered on the inside with channelled goose down quilting that gives softness, giving the armrest the appearance of a cushion. Base: made with a 30x15 mm rectangular-section metal frame with Pewter colour finish (shade designed by Minotti Studio). Support on the ground by means of feet (designed and engineered by Minotti Studio) moulded in die-cast Pewter-coloured metal with an extra glossy anti-touch finish. These feet can withstand about 300 hours of salt spray (sea salt) and are resistant to scratches, chemicals, shocks (given their remarkable plasticity) and ultraviolet rays. Protective slip in Hytrel® (soft, scratch-resistant rubber). Removability: the cover is completely removable in the fabric version by removing the load-bearing perimeter base by loosening the special knobs. In the leather version, the cover is fixed only for the frame, while it is removable for the back and seat cushions. Optional: headrest cushion made of high-density polyurethane foam covered with channelled goose down and fixed to the frame by means of a band. The cushion cover can be made in the choice of fabrics or leathers from the sample collection; if not specified when ordering, it will be coordinated with the Sofas cover. The headrest can be placed in different positions depending on the various usage requirements. It enjoys keeping its balance on the borderline between design and classical quality. A line which unites, rather than separating. Andersen bolsters intimacy when so requested by private occasions, showing, under such circumstances, its more comfortable side. Nor does it betray its formal note, revealing the strength of its identity to guests. Pure and linear, it is clear of the ground, as much as needed to show a unique character. The Andersen foot epitomizes aesthetic and technological contents, a real designer object made of Peltro colour die-cast metal with anti-touch extra-glossy finish (Peltro shade devised by Minotti Studio). Sophisticated design, fine proportion effects, spokes, tapers… A series of details which tell those who can read one real truth: behind hard work there is a company which devises its own products skilfully and valuably. A complex project has translated into products varying in type. The same techniques and care for details, the same aesthetic persuasion for functional appeal as multiplied by three. Andersen and Andersen Slim are aerial; whereas Andersen Line suggests more solid feelings. They are complementary, in that they mutually make up for empty and full spaces, lightness and mass. However, they stand out as function-oriented: comfort, privacy and home.
